I recently attended the Women in Surgery Summit at Exactech Headquarters in Gainesville, FL. It was so powerful and engaging to meet and reconnect with women in all stages of their orthopedic careers, from medical students to Department Chairs, representing all walks of life, but sharing the common goal of better care for our shoulder patients. I am pictured here with the manufacturing facility in the background. Seeing the extreme care and precision with which these implants are made was inspiring, as was the pride that the engineers and machinists have in their work.
